Integrating Photograph, Photovoice and Videos in research Introduction Learning and dissemination of information can be done by reading, listening and having experiences. The best way for most people is often a combination of these methodologies together with photography. Using photography as a storytelling method helps in opening a dialogue between beneficiaries and/or stakeholders, creating a (safe) space for them to express themselves and reflect on issues related to project implementation. This 5- days training provides both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the use of photography, photovoice and Videos. Photovoice can be used for a wide range of purposes, including Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), advocacy, research and community based activities, as well as marketing purposes. Photos can also be incorporated in other research outputs such as case studies, evidence briefs and project reports to increase on credibility of the information.
Who should attend? NGO staff, researchers in agricultural sector, Monitoring and Evaluation, Health, photographers, marketers, educators, community health and social workers, visual artists and anyone who is looking for new and creative ways to gain insight and understanding into people's lived experiences and concerns.
